It’s a rematch for the ages, with the best of the best this season taking the court in Sin City for another Team Wilson-Team Stewart showdown.
The teams feature the 22 best performers of the year so far, including special picks like rookie Aliyah Boston, who came into the WNBA after an all-star collegiate career.
The starters were determined by fan voting and internet ballots, while the rest were selected by league personnel, coaching staffs and media personalities. The game has been a part of the midseason festivities since 1999, skipping every four years for the Summer Olympics — except in 2004, when it took on a new format to make up for players overseas in Athens.
The Western Conference leads the overall series with 10 wins to the Eastern’s four, and only four WNBA cities have never been selected to host, including Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis and Los Angeles. This will be the third time Las Vegas houses the competition.
