With Aaron Rodgers on the sideline, the Jets experienced a darkness retreat of their own in the NFL’s Hall of Fame Game on Thursday.

A portion of lights went out at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium before the start of the fourth quarter, pausing the game for 15 minutes.

The outage sent the stadium into confusion, but lights began to turn back on shortly after the delay began. Players tried to stay loose on the sidelines while officials met with coaches Robert Saleh and Kevin Stefanski on the field to update them on the situation.

This isn’t the first time field conditions have impacted the Hall of Fame Game. The annual exhibition was canceled entirely in 2016 due to safety concerns about the playing surface.

As the Ravens and 49ers can tell you, though, situations like these aren’t easily avoidable. A bank of lights went out at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome during Super Bowl 47, pausing the game for 34 minutes. Fifteen minutes doesn’t seem so bad in comparison.

In theme with the rest of his offseason, Rodgers didn’t seem too bothered.

The Jets led the Browns 16-14 at the time of the outage.
