Simone Biles is in the thick of a late-career renaissance.

The gymnastics legend — with shelves lined with canary-yellow alloy — has enjoyed a spectacular run on the mat as of late; she captured the all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships back in August, outranking the cadre of youngsters whose childhood walls very well could have been lined with Biles’ image growing up.

At 26, Biles is older than most of the talents she shares the floor with. It doesn’t seem like she minds too much, though. She’s a force under pressure, capable of making the most chaotic sequences look elegant.

It all can be quite intoxicating. And it’s something that the gymnastics world will almost certainly be paying mind to when Biles mounts the apparatus as the World Gymnastics Championships.

Biles will have her work cut after her. She’s no spring chicken, after all. And with fresh-faced talents like Shi Jones, Jocelyn Roberson and Jordan Chiles waiting in the ranks, Biles will have to be on her game.

If she is, though, she’s unstoppable. And with Paris 2024 precious few months away, Biles’ showing in Antwerp could go a long way in shaping the U.S.’s roster come next summer.

  • TV channel: CNBC, NBC

The main highlights from the competition’s marquee events — the women’s team final and women’s all-around final — will be aired as reruns on CNBC and NBC, respectively. The women’s team final comes first, finding a home on CNBC at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 8. Six days later, the action will return to television sets, this time on NBC for the women’s all-around final, which will be rebroadcast at noon ET.

World Gymnastics Championships live stream

For those who have opted out of the bondage of cable cords, don’t worry; this weekend’s festivities will be available through Peacock. Fubo, which offers a free trial to new users, will air the portions of the competition that air on CNBC and NBC.
