Months after winning her first career grand slam title at the 2023 US Open, Coco Gauff hasn’t slowed down to open 2024.
The 19-year-old American entered the 2024 Australian Open ranked No. 4 in the world and has cruised through the singles draw in Melbourne — albeit against less-than-imposing opposition.
Gauff has already beaten Anna Karolína Schmiedlova, Caroline Dolehide, Alycia Parks and Magdalena Frech to reach the quarterfinals, her deepest run to date Down Under.
Another matchup against an unseeded opponent, 37th-ranked Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine, awaits in the quarters, with a potential US Open finals rematch against No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka looming in the semifinals.
Gauff will have to get past Kostyuk first, though. Here’s when and how to watch the match:
Is Coco Gauff playing today?
