U.S. international star Christian Pulisic has left his Chelsea doldrums behind and found a new home, moving to Italy to play for Serie A side AC Milan.
After completing a €20 million ($21.8m) transfer and signing a four-year deal with an option for a further year, Pulisic is primed for a bounce-back campaign, set to play a major role up front for his new Italian club.
Sure enough, Pulisic delivered straight out of the gates, clobbering a thunderous debut goal in his first Serie A match. Thanks to a fourth-placed finish in the Italian top flight last year, AC Milan will continue in the UEFA Champions League, adding European action to their participation in the yearly Serie A and Coppa Italia competitions. He then grabbed another in his San Siro debut for the club a week later to extend the hot start.
With the 24-year-old officially hitting the ground running, The Sporting News is keeping a close eye on the American’s progress in Italy, with the club set to battle on three fronts.

Christian Pulisic last goal for AC Milan
It took over a month, but Christian Pulisic finally bagged his first goal of the new calendar year, finding the net in a 4-2 defeat to Monza, a match in which he came off the bench at halftime and also grabbed an assist, stopping a six-match scoreless streak in Serie A play.
He then followed that up by scoring a big goal in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 match against Slavia Prague at home, bagging the game’s final strike to give Milan a 4-2 first-leg lead. However, Pulisic will maybe feel a bit embarrassed by the goal, as it appeared to be a potentially unnecessary final touch on what would have been a brilliant goal for Rafael Leao.
