The third annual HBCU All-Star Game is the saving grace for men’s college basketball fans who want even more action before the national championship game. Taking place on Sunday afternoon, the exhibition contest will feature 24 of the nation’s best basketball players from the four Historically Black Athletic Conferences.

Team Rick Mahorn will take on Team Ben Wallace, honoring two of the best HBCU basketball players of all time. The former is coached by LeVelle Moton of North Carolina Central and Alfred Jordan of Clark Atlanta, and the latter is coached by Texas Southern’s Johnny Jones and Lincoln’s Jason Armstrong.

Moton will have the chance to coach Fred Cleveland Jr., who led the Eagles with 15.3 points and 5.3 assists per game this season on his way to the HBCU All-Star Sam Jones NCAA Division I Player of the Year award. Jordan will also coach one of his players in Chris Martin, who earned the title of HBCU All-Stars Earl “The Pearl” Monroe Division II National Player of the Year.
