The last time we saw Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, there were some concerns due to soreness in his throwing shoulder as he works his way back from surgery.
However, general manager Chris Ballard downplayed any concerns about the budding star’s status going into training camp.
Ballard said on the GM Shuffle podcast that Richardson will be “full-go” once training camp begins.
“He’ll be full-go. He was full-go up until the last day of OTAs,” Ballard said. “We had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before so we backed off the last day.”

While neither the Colts nor Richardson expressed any concern when he was held out of the final minicamp practice of the offseason, it’s encouraging to see that Ballard has no issues at all.
Richardson was a full participant in practices all through the spring, but he was held out of the final minicamp practice. That was after he exited the second minicamp practice early.
Richardson even said they were surprised the soreness hadn’t occurred until this late in the recovery process.
“Oh yeah, we’re actually surprised there’s only been one day like this. Everything’s been smooth sailing so far and luckily, it was the last day. So, we’re not too worried about it and we’re just trying to keep it going,” Richardson said at the end of minicamp.
The Colts are set to begin training camp on July 24, and all eyes will be on the electric quarterback and his throwing shoulder.
