A federal judge struck down the Pentagon’s last remaining policy that bans Americans with HIV from enlisting in the military. Now, those with well-treated and asymptomatic HIV are eligible for enlistment and promotion within the military. In the ruling, the judge pointed out advances in care and treatment for HIV.
