One of the most hyped quarterback prospects in recent memory is making his collegiate starting debut on Saturday.

Texas QB Arch Manning, the consensus No. 1 player in the 2023 recruiting class, is set to fill in as QB1 for the Longhorns vs. UL Monroe after Quinn Ewers, who was building an early-season Heisman case with 691 yards and eight touchdowns in three games, went down with an abdomen injury last week.

Manning stepped into the Longhorns offense against UTSA and immediately made highlight-reel plays, finishing 9-for-12 with 223 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and a 67-yard rushing touchdown.

Now, he’s getting a shot at four full quarters of action for Texas on Saturday night. Already the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the hype around Manning continues to grow.

The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning and grandson of Archie Manning, Arch is climbing the ranks as he continues his family’s legacy of top-tier play at the quarterback position. His father, Cooper Manning, is Archie’s oldest son and committed to Ole Miss before injuries shortened his football career in high school.

Quarterbacking seemingly runs in the Manning family’s blood, and Arch Manning is next up. His starting debut gives him another chance to prove his talent to the college football world before Ewers is expected to recover from his injury and return as Texas’ starting quarterback.
