It’s been a long wait, but the Tigers are back in the MLB postseason.

Detroit fans have waited a decade since their team’s last playoff appearance, enjoying just one winning season between 2015 and 2023. That drought, tied with the Angels for the longest in MLB, bottomed out with a 47-114 record in 2019.

A seemingly never-ending rebuilding effort finally came to fruition in 2024 with a remarkable late-season surge that saw Detroit climb from  55-63 on Aug. 10 to an 86-76 finish and wild card berth.

It’s been a group effort for the Tigers, who have a collection of role players supporting their lone superstar, likely AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. The left-hander immediately makes Detroit a threat in a short series, but the Tigers will need contributions all the way down the roster to keep their run going in October.

Here is everything that you need to know about listening to Tigers postseason baseball on the radio in 2024.
