Are you ready for some football? Well, you’re going to have to wait a long for Sunday night.

The Week 5 “Sunday Night Football” showdown between the Cowboys and Steelers has been put on hold due to thunder and lightning at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The 8:20 p.m. ET kick-off has been pushed back as both teams have been sent back to the locker room until the weather passes.

Cowboys vs. Steelers “Sunday Night Football” weather updates

All times are Eastern.

9:15 p.m.: We have a start time! Steelers vs. Cowboys will kick off at 9:45 p.m. ET, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Players will return to the field to warm up at 9:20 p.m.

9:00 p.m.: ESPN’s Todd Archer reported another lightning strike at 9 p.m. Every lightning strike requires an additional 30-minute delay. As ESPN’s Brooke Pryor mentioned, the players also need at least 20 minutes to warm up again.

That means the game will not kick off until 9:50 p.m. at the earliest, but no official time has been provided.

8:50 p.m.: Both locker rooms have been brought sandwiches and wraps as the players wait out the weather delay, per NBC’s Melissa Stark. There has not been any update on a kickoff time.

8:25 p.m.: The approximate 30-minute delay means you can expect “Sunday Night Football” to kickoff closer to 9 p.m. ET, although there has not been a firm time reported.

8:10 p.m.: Kickoff for the Week 5 “Sunday Night Football” matchup between the Cowboys and Steelers has been pushed back “roughly 30 minutes,” according to NBC’s “Football Night in America” broadcast.
