Ja’Marr Chase was always going to be a handful for the Ravens defense on “Thursday Night Football.”

The Bengals wide receiver tends to exert his dominance over most defensive backs he matches up against. A shorthanded Baltimore squad was no exception; Zach Orr’s secondary fell victim to a blitzkrieg of Joe Burrow darts directed at his longtime teammate.

The impact of Burrow and Chase’s connection came to a head in the third quarter of Thursday’s clash. Unsurprisingly, he did so in about as flashy a way as one could imagine.

Chase came to life two minutes into the third quarter on Thursday night’s contest. The LSU product evaded Ar’Darius Washington before reeling in a delicate Burrow effort in the middle of the field.

Chase raced down M&T Bank Stadium’s pastures, leaving a host of Baltimore defenders cowering in his wake. When capped his 67-yard score with aplomb, showing off his dancing skills once he found pay dirt.

NFL Next Gen Stats provided a different perspective on just how incredible Chase’s touchdown was:

Ja’Marr Chase 40-yard dash time

Chase has long possessed pistons for legs. His 40-yard dash time is further evidence. Although Chase didn’t participate in the NFL Combine, the 4.38s time he (unofficially) posted in LSU’s Pro Day back in 2021 does testify to his need for speed.

Ja’Marr Chase chain

Chase trotted onto M&T Bank Stadium in style, sporting a glimmering diamond chain after finding the end zone early in the third quarter.

The jewels belong to Chase. Los Angeles-based jeweler Jason Arasheben — better known as Jason of Beverly Hills — crafted the piece, which features a recreation of each of his tattoos.

Also included in the regalia is the 7-11 logo — a reference to his nickname — and, most notably, a fleur-de-lis, a symbol of New Orleans. Chase was raised in Metairie, Louisiana, a New Orleans suburb, so the choice was an apt one.
