Game three of the Ruben Amorim experiment takes place this weekend as Manchester United host fellow sleeping giants Everton.

After securing a chaotic 3-2 midweek UEFA Europa League win over FK Bodø/Glimt, United’s first Premier League home game under Amorim will be the 39-year-old’s chance to begin putting his stamp on the underperforming club.

An early lead in his debut game at Ipswich Town soon made way to a disappointing draw, and the Red Devils cannot waste too much more time, if they wish to end a very competitive league campaign in the European positions.

Everton, meanwhile, continue to hover dangerously above the relegation zone — a familiar feeling for the Toffees over the past few years. But, an upset victory at the Theatre of Dreams would move them just two points behind United and raise some alarms in Manchester.

The Sporting News looks at the latest team news and predicted lineups for this fixture at Old Trafford.

Man Utd vs. Everton lineups, predicted starting 11, team news

Man United have key defender Lisandro Martinez, back fit, but Harry Maguire needs a little bit more time before returning, from a calf complaint.

Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof are unlikely to make it back in time, either, but Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia have the all-clear for the weekend.

Luke Shaw and Mason Mount, both featured against Bodo/Glimt but Amorim will make a late call on whether to start either player in such an important game.

Man Utd predicted lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — Mazraoui, De Ligt, Evans — Diallo, Casemiro, Eriksen, Dalot —Fernandes, Garnacho — Rashford.

Injured: Maguire (calf), Yoro (foot), Lindelof (hip)
Suspended: None

Everton could welcome back captain Seamus Coleman and Youssef Chermiti for the game at Old Trafford.

Coleman, the club’s record appearance maker, was expected to miss more time with a thigh injury but could be back to provide crucial experience.

Chermiti has made good progress since suffering an ankle injury and is set to return ahead of schedule.

Tim Iroegbunam (foot) and James Garner (back) appear more likely for December returns and it looks like the same applies to Armando Broja’s heel issue.

Dele Alli is the Blues’ sole long-term absentee after the former England midfielder suffered another injury setback this week.

Everton predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko — Doucoure, Gueye — Lindstrom, McNeil, Ndiaye — Calvert-Lewin

Injured: Alli (hamstring), Iroegbunam (foot), Garner (back), Broja (heel)
Suspended: None
