It was tough for anyone to break through during Thursday’s Round 1 at Oak Hill Country Club, to the point that reaching 3 under par felt like a huge achievement.

One player stood above that line as Round 2 began Friday morning: Bryson DeChambeau, the leader at 4 under.

The field was packed in close behind him, though, with several players at 3 under including major champions Scottie Scheffler and Dustin Johnson and a PGA Championship rookie who got as low as 5 under Thursday, Eric Cole.

Cole is one of a number of players who needed to complete their first round Friday morning after frost delayed the start of the tournament by nearly two hours Thursday.

Friday’s round will set the cut line for weekend play. The top 70 players and ties will move on to Saturday. Jon Rahm, Cameron Young and other pre-tournament favorites are under pressure to make the cut after poor first rounds.

PGA Championship live updates, highlights from Friday’s Round 2

10:22 a.m. — Xander Schauffele is looking good on Friday! He’s getting shots close to the hole and is ticking back toward even par. He is 1-under on the day and 1-over on the tournament.

9:53 a.m. — PGA Tour professional Michael Block is having a great start to the tournament. Thus far, he is 3-under par and one shot off the lead. Not bad at all.

9:52 a.m. — Phil Mickelson continues to be a strong golfer, even as he competes in majors over the age of 50.

9:27 a.m. — One of the most entertaining stories off the course today came from the practice greens, where a mother duck and her ducklings were hanging out before being escorted away. The ducklings were taken in a box and several staffers walked them — alongside the mama duck — to one of the creeks on the course. They were then safely freed.

We will look for video of that heartwarming but also lengthy exit, which required the mama duck to walk 16 minutes alongside her boxed children.

9:24 a.m. — Corey Conners isn’t the only Canadian lighting it up at the PGA Championship. Adam Hadwin is having a solid performance as well, as evidenced by this approach shot.

9:22 a.m. — Max Homa has looked good so far today. He has worked his score back to even par and is within striking distance of the top leaderboard spot after two birdies in his first three holes.

8:14 a.m. — All players who had to complete Round 1 today after play was suspended Thursday due to darkness have finished their rounds. Bryson DeChambeau was officially the Round 1 leader at 4 under after overnight leader Eric Cole dropped two strokes this morning.

7:05 a.m. — Weather conditions are much-improved in Rochester a day after the start of the tournament was pushed back nearly two hours due to frost. Temperatures are in the low 60s Fahrenheit as golfers take the course, with highs projected to be in the upper 70s. It appears wind could be a factor as the round unfolds, however.

7 a.m. — Here are the hole locations for Round 2:
