Joe Trohman has officially announced his return to Fall Out Boy. “I want to thank everyone for the love and support while I took some time away to focus on my brain and get healthy for my family, my friends and myself,” the guitarist wrote on Instagram. “I’m stoked to be back in action and I can’t wait to see everyone on tour this summer!” Find the guitarist’s full statement below.
In January, shortly Fall Out Boy announced the album So Much (for) Stardust, Trohman revealed that he was stepping away from the band to focus on his mental health. A few months later, in April, Trohman performed with the band at the NFL Draft in Kansas City. Outside of an Instagram photo gallery, however, his return was not acknowledged in a formal capacity.
Fall Out Boy begin their tour in support of So Much (for) Stardust in June.
