The NBA 2K24 Summer League isn’t the only place where the next generation of basketball stars are taking the floor in Las Vegas.
From July 15-18, some of the nation’s best high school stars are playing in the Las Vegas Jr. Big Time Tournament. Among players in action are Bryce James, son of LeBron James, Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony as well as twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the sons of Carlos Boozer.
On Monday, July 17, James and Anthony’s Strive For Greatness team faced the Boozer twins’ Nightrydas Elite in one of the biggest games of the tournament. The Sporting News is tracked updates from the AAU showcase game.

8:52 p.m. — It’s a wrap in Las Vegas and Cameron Boozer is the star that shined brightest.
Boozer finished the game with a game-high 20 points, 11 rebounds and four assists to lead the team to a nine-point victory in Vegas.
8:47 p.m. — Strive For Greatness had a few chances to cut into the deficit even more, but couldn’t convert.
With under a minute remaining, Nightrydas Elite just needs to execute in order to emerge with the win.
8:44 p.m. — Here comes Strive For Greatness.
A quick run is punctuated by a 3 from Bryce James and the deficit has been cut to eight. Nightrydas Elite leads 71-63 with two minutes remaining.
8:39 p.m. — 3:26 remains in the game and Nightrydas Elite holds a 71-57 lead.
Strive For Greatness will need to stage a late rally before running out of time here.
8:29 p.m. — Cameron Boozer continues to dominate and Nightrydas Elite is beginning to pull away once again. Nightrydas Elite has a 61-47 lead with 7:23 remaining in the game.
8:22 p.m. — Cayden Boozer is starting to heat up as well.

8:20 p.m. — It’s been the Cameron Boozer show in Vegas. The No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025 continues to do a bit of everything for his team, which holds a 10-point lead early in the second half.
Halftime: Nightrydas Elite 32, Strive For Greatness 26
8:02 p.m. — One half is in the books and Nightrydas Elite holds a six-point lead.
Cameron Boozer closes the half with a finish to add to his game-high total and extend his team’s advantage. Cameron Boozer has 11 points, four rebounds and two impressive assists.
8 p.m. — As the half winds down, Bryce James gets on the board with a triple to cut the deficit to four.

Nightrydas Elite leads Strive For Greatness 30-26 with under 30 seconds to go in the half.
7:50 p.m. — After a slow start to the game, Strive For Greatness has used a 10-0 run to claw back into the game.
Nightrydas Elite leads 20-14 with 5:51 left in the first half.
7:44 p.m. — Nightrydas Elite is out to an early 18-4 lead. Cameron Boozer is making his presence felt on both ends of the floor and scoring in a multitude of ways.

Bryce James recruiting
Bryce James is a member of the high school class of 2025 and would be a college freshman during the 2025-26 season.
James does not appear on ESPN’s national list of top 60 recruits for the Class of 2025 but is ranked 16th among prospects in California and 27th in the Western region of the United States. As it stands, Duquesne is the only school that is known to have offered a scholarship to Bryce James.
Kiyan Anthony recruiting
Kiyan Anthony is a member of the high school class of 2025 and will enroll in college ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Anthony is a four-star recruit per ESPN, where he is ranked 52nd in his high school class. According to ESPN, Anthony has received scholarship offers from Memphis and Syracuse, among other schools.
