Chromeo have announced their next LP, Adult Contemporary. The project is out February 24, 2024. Dave 1 and P-Thugg also shared the first song from the album, “Personal Effects,” which comes with a P.I.-themed video directed by Spencer Ford, who has previously worked with Troye Sivan and Brockhampton. Watch it below.
“Personal Effects” was inspired by a routine comment from a flight attendant (“Please don’t forget your personal effects”) that struck Dave 1 as a perfect Chromeo song title, he said in a statement. He added, “Adult Contemporary is a meditation on modern, mature relationships, which means: if we gotta sing about curling irons, so be it.”
This year, Chromeo released an album with A-Trak and Ric Wilson, Clusterfunk. The duo is currently on tour in North America and will head to Australia for three shows at the end of October. See a full list of tour dates below.
