College baseball season is hurtling toward its final destination: Omaha, Nebraska, as teams compete in super regionals to be among the eight in the College World Series.

The College World Series will begin Friday, June 16 and concludes Monday, June 26. It is the final stage of the three-round men’s NCAA Tournament, which begins with regionals and super regionals across the country and ends in Omaha.

While several series are already over, including No. 1 Wake Forest and No. 2 Florida, others are still hurtling on. There are games scheduled for Monday and, if necessary, Tuesday as the final spots are decided.

The Sporting News is following teams as they punch their ticket to college baseball’s biggest stage. Here is the latest on super regional finals.

College World Series bracket

By June 13, we will have the full suite of teams in the College World Series. Through Sunday afternoon, half the field was already set.

Here’s which teams have clinched a bid.

No. 1 Wake Forest

What: Wake Forest has already clinched its spot in the College World Series, having defeated Alabama Sunday to get the 2-0 series win. 

When: Wake Forest will begin play this upcoming week (either Friday, June 16 or Saturday, June 17).

No. 2 Florida

What: Florida punched its ticket with a 2-0 sweep over South Carolina, continuing what has been a dominant run in the tournament.

When: Florida will begin play this upcoming week (either Friday, June 16 or Saturday, June 17).

No. 7 Virginia

What: Brian Edgington turned in a stellar performance Sunday to get the Cavaliers a 2-1 series win over Duke, throwing 114 pitches in a complete game 12-2 win. 

When: Virginia will begin play this upcoming week (either Friday, June 16 or Saturday, June 17).

TCU

What: TCU completed a sweep of Indiana State over the weekend, giving the Horned Frogs a tournament berth in Bracket 2.

When: TCU will begin play this upcoming week (either Friday, June 16 or Saturday, June 17).

No. 5 LSU vs. No. 12 Kentucky 

What: LSU and Kentucky are set for Game 2 of the Baton Rouge super regional on Sunday night. LSU can punch their ticket with a win. Game 3 would be on Monday afternoon with a Kentucky win.

When: Sunday, June 11, 6 p.m., ESPN2, Fubo (Game 2)

No. 8 Stanford vs. Texas

What: Stanford and Texas are set for Game 2 of the Stanford super regional on Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET. Texas can punch their ticket to the College World Series with a win. Game 3 would be on Monday with a Stanford win.

When: Sunday, June 12, 9 p.m., ESPN2, Fubo (Game 2)

Oregon vs. Oral Roberts

What: The Ducks and Golden Eagles are tied at one game apiece entering their rubber match on Sunday night. The winner moves onto the College World Series next weekend.

When: Sunday, June 11, 6 p.m., ESPNU, Fubo (Game 3)

Southern Miss vs. Tennessee

What: Southern Miss took Game 1 after a weather suspension, with the two teams linking up quickly for Game 2 afterwards on Sunday afternoon. Southern Miss can punch their ticket to the CWS win a win, while Tennessee can push it to a Game 3 on Monday.

When: Sunday, June 113 p.m., ESPN, Fubo (Game 2)

College World Series schedule 2023

  • Super regionals: June 9-12
  • College World Series: Friday, June 16 through Monday, June 26 (if necessary)

The 76th annual College World Series is set for first pitch on Friday, June 16. The eight super regional winners will advance to Omaha to play for the NCAA baseball tournament championship.

All games will be played at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb. This marks the 73rd time Omaha is hosting the CWS.
