Danny Brown is coming back with Quaranta, his first new solo album in four years. The follow-up to 2019’s Uknowhatimsayin¿ will arrive November 17 via Warp. He’s shared lead single “Tantor” and an *Uncanny-directed music video in which Brown walks through the city in a cyborg outfit, which you can watch below.
Brown, who is now 42 years old and living in Austin, Texas has teased Quaranta for years. The title means “40” in Italian, and the press release describes the album as a “spiritual bookend” to XXX, released in 2011 to mark Brown’s 30th birthday.
Quaranta is Brown’s second album this year, following the collaborative LP with Jpegmafia, Scaring the Hoes. The 11-track record includes guest features from MIKE, Bruiser Wolf, and Kassa Overall. Quaranta boasts a busy roster of producers as well, including the Alchemist, Quelle Chris, Skywlkr, and Paul White.
Although Brown has wrapped up his joint tour with Jpegmafia behind Scaring the Hoes, the rapper still has the 10th Bruiser Thanksgiving coming up, which will find him performing and hosting on November 22 at Detroit’s Russell Industrial Center.
