Euro 2024 favorites France take on already-eliminated Poland in their final group-stage game, with the chance of topping Group D.

Les Bleus haven’t been firing on all cylinders offensively so far at Euro 2024, and it will be intriguing to see if boss Didier Deschamps recalls talismanic forward Kylian Mbappe for their final Group D clash to restore firepower to his frontline.

The Real Madrid striker sat out the 0-0 draw with the Netherlands after suffering a broken nose in the narrow 1-0 victory over Austria, but Les Bleus looked a far less threatening side without him.

That point effectively much confirmed a place in the last 16 for Deschamps’ side, but Kylian Mbappe and Co. will have their eyes set on sealing top spot.

For that to happen, they must win and ensure they do so by a bigger margin than Netherlands do in their match against Austria, with both games kicking off at the same time.

France vs. Poland lineups & team news

Kylian Mbappe was an unused substitute and wasn’t risked against the Netherlands as he continued to work his way back from a broken nose.

But the French skipper starts tonight wearing a protective mask. He is joined in the front three by Bradley Barcola, while Antoine Griezmann drops to the bench.

It’s worth noting that Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele are both one booking away from being suspended.

France starting lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Maignan (GK) —  Kounde, Saliba, Upamecano, Hernandez — Tchouameni, Kante, Rabiot —  Dembele, Mbappe, Barcola.

Poland, who have already been dumped out of the tournament, welcome back star striker Robert Lewandowski into the starting XI, after the Barcelona forward came off the bench against Austria for his first appearance of the tournament.

Sebastian Szymanski and Kacper Urbanski flank Lewandowski in the Poland attack, while boss Michal Probierz has made a change in goal, with Bologna’s Lukasz Skorupski replacing Wojciech Szczesny.

Poland starting lineup (3-5-2, right to left): Skorupski (GK) —  Bednarek, Dawidowicz, Kiwior —  Frankowski, Zielinski, Moder, Zalewski — S. Szymanski, Lewandowski, Urbanski.

France vs. Poland prediction

  • Score prediction: France 3-0 Poland

With Poland already eliminated and having nothing to play for, Les Bleus should come into Tuesday’s clash as clear favorites.

Although France’s performances have been lackluster at Euro 2024 so far, they do enjoy a huge quality gap over their opponents, and that should tell on Tuesday.
