Teraji, who holds WBA, WBC and Ring Magazine titles at 108 pounds, is closing in on the pound-for-pound elite. The 32-year-old boxer-puncher has defeated every man he has ever faced in a 23-fight career, having avenged his only setback to Masamichi Yabuki in 2022. “The Amazing Boy” will be taking part in his 15th world championship contest.

“I’m excited for this fight; [Canizales is] a tough opponent,” Teraji told The Sporting News. “He has strong hands and can use his footwork very skillfully. But I feel I am better than him whatever he brings.”

Canizalez (26-1-1, 19 KOs) has fought the majority of his fights at home in Venezuela. Recently, the 30-year-old puncher has seen action in Mexico and Argentina, but this will be his first fight on Japanese soil and it’s a huge step up in class. In his last fight, in June, Canizales won a technical decision over Daniel Mattelon.

The Sporting News will provide results from the undercard and provide a full fight report for the main event:
