The Las Vegas Raiders have been without left tackle Kolton Miller since the offseason began as he has been recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.

But the team provided some great news about the left tackle on Tuesday, with the Raiders announcing that Miller has been activated from the active/physically unable to perform list, which will allow him to return to practice.

After missing so much time, the Raiders will ease Miller back in, but he’s got over two weeks to get ready before Week 1 falls on Sunday, Sept. 8.

It goes without saying how important Miller is. He’s the Raiders’ best offensive lineman and has become one of the better players at his position in the NFL. In Miller’s absence, Las Vegas has been rolling with Andrus Peat, who has struggled.

With Miller back in the fold, the Raiders now have all of the offensive linemen who were projected to start healthy. Recently, second-round pick and left guard Jackson Powers-Johnson was activated off the PUP list, although he isn’t expected to start Week 1 after missing a ton of time this offseason.

Until JPJ is ready to go, veteran lineman Cody Whitehair, who was signed in free agency earlier this offseason, is expected to start in his place.
