Will Tuesday night mark the final collegiate game for LSU phenom Dylan Crews? The Tigers are facing elimination after seeing a 2-0 lead slip away against Wake Forest on Monday, and they’re facing a Tennessee team that simply doesn’t quit.

The Volunteers overcame a four-run deficit just to advance past the super regionals, and they rallied back from the same deficit against Stanford on Monday to stave off elimination a second time. A year after a historically great Tennessee team flamed out before the College World Series, the Vols are hungry for a deep run.

LSU already has a win over Tennessee in Omaha, but that victory came with ace Paul Skenes on the mound. Skenes won’t be available on Tuesday, nor will Ty Floyd or Thatcher Hurd, who both pitched in the loss to Wake Forest. LSU manager Jay Johnson will need to piece together 27 outs with the rest of the pitching staff to survive and advance.

The winner of this game will advance to face Wake Forest, potentially setting up a rematch between LSU and the Demon Deacons. Either LSU or Tennessee will need to beat Wake Forest on back-to-back days to reach the finals.
