There have been plenty of star golfers who have taken the links at Augusta National, but the real face of the Masters might be the voice of golf’s most prestigious event.
That would be Jim Nantz. The veteran broadcaster has been the host of the Masters for 37 consecutive years, including the 2024 edition, and he’s spent 39 total years covering the event.
It has been a rare year for sports fans, who have had to wait since the 2024 Super Bowl to hear Nantz on a national sporting event. In years past, he’s been one of the voices of March Madness. The 2024 tournament marked the first time he hasn’t been on the call for any of the games.
But rest assured sports fans, Nantz isn’t retiring from broadcasting. He’ll be back at Augusta National for 2024, then returning to the NFL when that season begins.
Who will Nantz be calling the Masters with? Here’s what you need to know.

Who is calling the Masters for CBS?
Nantz will be the host of the Masters, providing the main updates throughout the tournament. He’ll also be joined by Trevor Immelman, who is going to be on the call for the second straight year.
Immelman won the 2008 Masters and began his broadcasting career in 2023 with CBS, joining Nantz as the analyst for PGA events. He replaced Nick Faldo, who had called the Masters alongside Nantz since 2008.
There will be plenty of other familiar faces and voices working for CBS. Ian Baker-Finch, Dottie Pepper, Frank Nobilo, Verne Lundquist, Andrew Catalon, and Amanda Balionis will also be contributing to the broadcast throughout CBS’ week-long coverage of the event.
Beyond the main CBS coverage, Paramount will also handle Masters Live, which provides all-day streaming coverage of the Masters Tournament. That coverage will be available on Masters Live, Paramount+, CBSSports.com, and CBS Sports app.
Shane Bacon, Cole Knost, and Billy Kratzert will be handling the featured groups in the morning. Brian Crowell and Smylie Kaufman will be the afternoon announcers. At Amen Corner, Grant Boone and Mark Immelman, the older brother of Trevor Immelman, will be the announcers.
