There was rain, wind, cold, and even some snow in last week’s NFL weather forecast, but Week 9 is shaping up to be a walk in the park by comparison. Nonetheless, RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth is back to help us break down all the key weather updates before fantasy football owners lock in their Week 9 start ’em, sit ’em decisions.
Before we get into the Week 9 forecasts, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. Note: If a game isn’t mentioned below, it’s because it doesn’t even have 10-mph winds or a 20-percent chance of precipitation in the forecast.

Rams @ Packers. Early forecasts call for a 20-percent chance of rain and winds in the 10-13-mph range. In other words, not enough to affect your fantasy decisions, especially with temps close to 50. (UPDATE: The chance for rain and the projected winds have both dropped closer to the weekend, so this one should play dry and calm.)
Cardinals @ Browns. What a surprise — the worst weather of the week is predicted for Cleveland. Fortunately, things aren’t too bad, as the chance for rain is hovering around 30-35 percent and winds are supposed to max out around 15 mph. That’s not bad enough to sit any usual starters, but continue to monitor this forecast to see if it worsens closer to kickoff. (UPDATE: The chance for rain has dropped to almost zero, and winds aren’t even supposed to hit 10 mph now. It should be a beautiful fall day in Cleveland.)

Chargers @ Jets. With winds projected to be around 10-mph and a 20-percent chance of rain, this game is worth monitoring, but as it stands, there isn’t much to worry about with your Chargers and Jets.
