Tiger Woods has a bit of history at the Genesis Invitational. Woods made his PGA Tour debut at the tournament In 1992, when it was known as the Los Angeles Open and he was just a high school sophomore.

Now, 31 years later, the tournament is organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation, and the all-time great golfer is still looking for his first win at the tourney. He has his next chance to make more history this weekend in Los Angeles.

Woods has twice finished as the runner up, in 1998 (Billy Mayfair) and 1999 (Ernie Els). Now, if Woods wants that first win at the Genesis Invitational, he’ll have to do it in a storybook way. Teeing it up in a PGA Tour event for the first time since 2020, Woods is playing for pinks.

“If I’m playing, I’m playing to win,” Woods said on Tuesday. “There will come a point in time where my body won’t allow me to do that anymore, probably sooner than later.”

Hopefully, not too much sooner than later.

Here’s how and when Woods is playing at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles this week.
