A surprise entry on the Thursday injury report came amid a tumultuous week for the Cleveland Browns players and fans. DPOTY Myles Garrett did not practice because of a foot injury.

Mary Kay Cabot asked Garrett about the injury on Friday after he participated in practice.  He said that it was an injury that bothered him during the Week 1 Dallas Cowboys game.  However, it did not happen during the game. He did not specify how or when it happened or the precise problem.

Garrett is playing on Sunday.  When asked if the foot would be bothersome during the game, he said “We’ll see.” That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement that all is well with Garrett’s foot.

In other defensive-end news, Za’Darius Smith will also be playing on Sunday.  He was held out of practice on Thursday with a back injury.

On the offensive side of the ball, tight end David Njoku and left tackle Jedrick Wills are out.  Jack Conklin, James Hudson, or a combination of both will handle the left tackle position.
