The Minnesota Vikings have done what every fan has wanted them to do for a long time by agreeing to a contract extension with wide receiver Justin Jefferson. The terms of the contract are just as you’d expect: massive.

The superstar wide receiver is inking a four-year, $140 million deal that includes $110 million guaranteed, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The $35 million annual average of the deal rightly makes Jefferson the league’s highest-paid receiver, and he’s also the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league.

This was something that fans and analysts had been expecting and hoping for over the last 15 months since he became extension-eligible in January of 2023. The two sides nearly agreed on the September 9th, 2023 deadline, but came up just short.

Now that he has agreed to an extension, the fans are over-the-moon excited and they took to social media to express themselves.
