In a matter of hours, the San Antonio Spurs will be on the clock in the 2023 NBA Draft.

It’s always one of the most exciting and entertaining nights of the year as a new crop of stars prepares to make the step up to the biggest stage in basketball. In the background, front offices will be working overtime trying to make the right picks and pull off moves that bring success to their franchise.

With the No. 1 overall pick, the Spurs are almost certain to take French phenom Victor Wembanyama. The 19-year-old is one of the most exciting prospects to come along in decades and has the potential to be an all-time great when all is said and done.

The real intrigue will begin at pick No. 2. The Hornets have a tough decision to make between electric guard Scoot Henderson and powerful forward Brandon Miller. There are currently conflicting reports surrounding who they will take, with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski predicting Miller and The Athletic’s Shams Charania predicting Henderson.

At the No. 3 spot, the Trail Blazers have all kinds of options. Will they be happy to take one of Henderson or Miller? Could they trade the pick in exchange for a star to pair with Damian Lillard? Would they consider the possibility of trading Lillard?

One thing is for sure: by the end of the night, the league will look quite a bit different than it did this morning.
