Back-to-back! Better yet, Mac-to-Mac!
An eventful NBA All-Star Saturday Night concluded with the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. For a second consecutive year, Mac McClung emerged victorious with a show-stopping performance.
On a night when the stars shined bright and the basketball world was captivated by a first-of-its-kind LED court, McClung shined brightest, clearing the heads of multiple people while somehow meeting the expectations he set for himself in 2023.
In the final round, McClung edged out All-Star Jaylen Brown, who used the night to pay homage to several icons.

With a sparkly glove on his left hand, Brown finished over Donovan Mitchell with his left hand. The dunk was enough to earn a 49.2 to bring his final score to 97.8 in the Finals.

Dunk 2
10:41 p.m.: Jaylen Brown enlists the help of teammate Jayson Tatum and streamer Kai Cenat for another dunk that pays homage.

Brown’s dunk was met with mixed reviews but it was enough to punch his ticket to the Finals.
10:38 p.m.: Mac McClung builds on his first round by bringing out a variation of a dunk from last year’s contest.
This time around, McClung gets a 49.4. He has clinched a spot in the Finals.

Dunk 1
10:31 p.m.: Mac. McClung.
He’s somehow coming out of the gates stronger than he did in 2023, doing something that has never been done before. McClung’s dunk is a little difficult to explain. A highlight does it much better justice.

Each of the four contestants gets two dunks in the first round. The two players with the highest combined score for their two dunks will advance to the finals.
